The King Of Queens

The TV show that I will be writing about is the sitcom "The King of Queens." This is probably my favourite TV show to watch with "Seinfeld" close behind. I dont watch alot of TV but when I do I will try to watch "The King of Queens." The show is about a middle aged couple living in Queens New York and their daily struggles.

Characters

Doug- Doug is a simple man. He works as a UPS man played by actor/comedian Kevin James. He is a typical "man of the house" and spends most of his time at home or at work. He does not get along with Carrie's father who lives with them. So through out the show they are constantly bickering at eachother while Carrie is stuck in the middle.

Carrie- Carrie (played by Leah Remini) is a typical sharp-tongued housewife. She is a hard working women and works as a legal secretary. Her constant attempts to make her and Doug's relationship and daily lives more romantic and meaningful cause Doug endless frustration and Doug, who prefers things to be simple and to have as few restrictions on his life as possible. The more centered of the couple, Carrie often pushes Doug to make more of himself and improve his morals but can be just as unscrupulous as him.

Arthur- Arther (played by Jerry Stiller) is Carrie's father who lives with Doug and Carrie. He lives with them because he burned his house down by accident in the pilot episode. He is a widowed man and the oddball of the family. Arthur is mostly known for his incoherent outbursts. Arthur is usually seen causing regular chaos and getting on someone's bad side with his antics, craziness, and obnoxious behaviors. Even with all of his bad behavior, deep-down Arthur has a heart of gold, which always manages to shine through, causing Doug and Carrie to feel guilty about yelling at him in the end.

There are also a couple side characters in the TV show.

Deacon Palmer, Played by Victor Williams, is Doug's best friend who he also works with him, Deacon is the more responsible of the two. He is a family man with a wife named Kelly and two sons named Major and Kirby. He is often seen hanging around with Doug weather it be on lunch break, over the weekend, or a family gathering. Even though him and his wife Kelly have relationship problems sometimes, he always finds time to chill with his friends and family.

Spence Olchin, Played by Patton Oswalt. Spence, another friend of Doug, is often viewed as the nerd of the group. Not only is he very paranoid, he also takes an interest in science fiction, fantasy movies and comic book conventions which are things his friends dont care for. Spence demonstrates intelligence and capability in a variety of pursuits, but he is haunted by his family history.

Danny Heffernan, Played by Gary Valentine, Danny Heffernan is Doug's cousin, and he is also seen hanging out with Doug, Spence, and Deacon. In the show's early seasons Doug has a negative view of Danny, bordering on hate. However as the show progressed, they become friends & co-workers, and regularly hang out along with Deacon and Spence. Danny even becomes Spence's roommate in a small apartment. The two often looked as if they were involved in a romantic relationship together, and they fought like a married couple. Gary Valentine and Kevin James are actually brothers in real life.

This photo essay was to show you what the T.V. show/sitcom is about and the characters in it. Also what the characters act like in the T.V. show.
